Elsa Pau Guest Speech at HKU

On November 17, 2020, Chief Executive of WealthAsia Media and founder of Fintech firm ‘BlueOnion’, Elsa Pau, gave a guest presentation: ““ESG Investing & its Evolution – the next AMPB Disruption Agent & generation for long term asset management sustainability” – discussing the concepts of ‘ESG [Environmental, Social, Governance] investments’ with the students of Prof. Alvin Ma’s AMPB class at the University of Hong Kong.

This was supplemented with an additional keynote by Executive Director of the Financial Services Development Council, Dr. King Au, who discussed the implications of ESG investment; specifically within Hong Kong and the research the FSDC has completed so far.

The guest speakers were well received by the student audience that day as they received expert insight into how innovations will shape the financial industry in years to come. An Q&A session was hosted shortly afterwards, highlighting the students’ interest in major disruptors within asset management and how initiatives like Elsa’s aim to assist future wealth managers.
