L&C’s franchise produces more than 300 food products, ranging from roasted nuts & seeds, candied plums, pastry biscuits, dried meat clams and flower tea, all available through the Chinese shopping website ‘T-Mall’ (formerly known as Taobao Mall). The company’s unique selling point is their ‘on-demand’ availability: allowing users of TMall to purchase items directly from the company’s supply and have them delivered promptly (business-to-consumer “B2C”), without having to go to a store or outlet to purchase items they want individually, a very successful & debut e-commerce snack food business model in 2000’s.
In mid 2018, L&C began their 2nd venture into e-commerce and food distribution, focusing on the ‘ready-meal’ product line, typically made up of instant ramen and microwavable snacks. Their venture emerged as an innovative brand, tapping into the primary consumer demographic of ‘instant’ catering meals & food products: Chinese millennials and Generation ‘Z’ers (post 95’s) by offering innovative yet affordable catering meals & product choices. Some of their most popular catering meals products include their instant hot-pot catering meal bowls: portable and quick-to-make Chongqing-inspired bowls with various toppings (meat/vegetables) and Sichuan peppercorn chilies. The product range has proven popular on T-Mall’s ‘Fast Food’ product lineup, ranking as the No.1 product sold on the platform with more than 20 million units sold.
